The Long Way Home

Living in a historically commercial building is not without its quirks. The mailman often leaves packages we’ve ordered right on the sidewalk under the mailbox, and most first-time visitors are unsure if we live behind the glass door. Where’s the doorbell? Chances are we won’t hear you knocking, so you’ll have to call from the street to let us know you’re here. I  miss having a front porch to sit and while away the afternoon weekends, people watching. We use the store front window to feature monthly local artists. I took the opportunity to use the space before the next installation.

You ought to set up a cozy little spot there in the window, complete with vintage beach chair, a stack of reading material and your drink of choice.
