On Sunday afternoon, Jeff and I visited friends who live in Lower Greenfield, or more colloquially — “the Run” — made famous by Big Jim’s, which featured on an episode of  “Diners, Dives and Drive-ins.” It’s a quiet neighborhood tucked under a bridge. When I visit people’s houses,  I take mental notes of their neighborhoods, imagining what it would be like to set up house in rooms  filled with empty, clean spaces full of light.

I love the kitchen shot (those shadows!) and the clock. You captured Western PA well and it’s making me homesick.

Thank you! The Run reminds me a lot of Hazelwood, where my great-grandmother lived. Stepping into our friends’ kitchen was like stepping into hers and it made me wish I could go back.
